Venture into the deep, dark wood this Easter Saturday with a live story telling of the children's classic, The Gruffalo
£20 per child, £30 per adult, £95 per family of four
includes Easter themed afternoon tea, live story telling and Easter hunt.
As Spring and Easter fast approaches, why not enjoy some family time with an Easter Hunt, afternoon tea and the chance to see one of the most popular children stories of this century come to life!
On Saturday 19th April 2025, we celebrate the renowned children’s author Julia Donaldson and invite you into our Heritage Suite to enjoy a live story telling performance of The Gruffalo along with a scrummy Easter themed afternoon tea.
We are delighted to welcome professional story teller, Alex Jones who will bring The Gruffalo to life.
Alex is a very animated and vocal story-teller and will bring to life this popular story, performing from memory and playing all of the different characters using costume props and masks, story boards and story visuals.
Children will be encouraged to have fun and to join in with repetition of catchphrases, lyrics, action and song.
‘Story Time With Alex’ has proved a great success for children and while all children of any age are welcome, it is recommended for children from 3 up to the age of 7.
Prior to the performance, adults get to enjoy our exquisite traditional Easter afternoon tea while children will be served their very own mouth-watering themed Easter tea all to themselves.
Both adult and children’s menus are attached below for your perusal.
Dietary requirements and intolerances can be catered for providing these are highlighted in advance to include gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian or vegan afternoon teas. These cannot be offered on the day.
Please note, that additional food and drink brought onto the premises is strictly forbidden.
