Hempstead House Hotel is delighted to host our first ever outdoor Shakespeare theatre this summer! The talented team from This Is My Theatre presents "Much Ado About Nothing" in the beautiful grounds of the hotel.

As the sun sets, you are invited to bring your own picnic, soak in the surroundings and relax, all while enjoying a fun and vibrant adaptation of Shakespeare’s hilarious love story, capturing imaginations and engaging audiences of all ages.

In Shakespeare’s raucous romantic comedy, deception is rife as wedding bells sound in the air, testing not only the young lovers Hero and Claudio, but also the steadfastly single Beatrice and Benedick!

With plots, pranks, live music and plenty of mischief throughout, you will fall in love all over again with Shakespeare’s, Much Ado About Nothing this Summer!

Hot and cold drinks will be available to purchase throughout the evening.

Timings

The gardens open from 6pm with the performance at 7pm

Dress Code

“RAIN DOES NOT STOP PLAY!” – Please dress appropriately for our unpredictable British weather as the performance will be outside.

SPECIAL OFFER: Accommodation is available at a reduced B&B rate of £190 (usually £205), to include full use of the AquaManda Spa from check in at 3pm to 5pm on the day of departure.

Guests attending our Special Events will receive a complimentary upgrade (subject to availability).

To confirm a reservation, card details are required and will be held against the booking for cancellation purposes. Accommodation can be settled on arrival with the option to cancel 1 day prior to arrival.

Information

Unless otherwise stated, a £10 deposit per person is required at time of booking. Full pre-payment is required 1 month prior.

Deposit payments can be made with card details over the phone, bank transfer or payment link on request.

Please note that Hempstead House no longer accepts cash on the premises. All purchases on site must be made by card payments only.

Please note all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Cancellations, either by individuals or as a group including reduced attendance, received 1 month prior to event will result in loss of deposits.

All cancellations received within 1 month of the event will unfortunately result in a full cancellation charge.

Guests are entitled to a full reimbursement should the hotel cancel the event unless the hotel is forced to close following government guidelines where a full credit voucher only will be issued.

Any cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
