"Oh I Do Like to DIE Beside the Seaside" Murder Mystery Dinner

Hempstead House Hotel is delighted to host another of our popular Murder Mystery evenings!

£59.00

per person to include, three course evening meal, coffee and Murder Mystery entertainment.

Can you put your detective skills to the test and solve the crime, all while enjoying an exquisite dinner at Hempstead House?

“Oh I Do Like to Die Beside the Seaside” - It’s the long hot Summer of 1976. Jim Callaghan is Prime Minister and Concorde has just taken to the skies for the very first time.

Meanwhile …the peace and tranquillity of the sleepy seaside resort of Stoneyfield-on-Sea is suddenly shattered with the cry of “Murder!” But who is the victim?

Who is the murderer? How much is a “99” at Fat Willie’s Beach Café? Can you uncover the truth in the sand?

 

The “murder” and subsequent investigation will take place during the dinner with the conclusion and resulting winners being revealed at the end.

Timings

Guests are asked to arrive at 7.30pm for pre-dinner drinks in the Coach House Bar, prior to being seated for dinner service at 8.00pm in the Heritage Suite. The evening will end at approximately 11.00pm.

Dress Code

It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible dressed in the era of the 1970’s! This is not mandatory though. Feel free to come dressed smart/casual.

Rooms

Accommodation is available from £205 B&B subject to availability, to include full use of the Aquamanda Spa from check in at 3pm to 5pm on the day of departure.

Guests attending our Special Events may receive a complimentary upgrade (subject to availability).

To confirm a reservation, card details are required and will be held against the booking for cancellation purposes. Accommodation can be settled on arrival with the option to cancel 7 days prior to arrival.

Information

Unless otherwise stated, a £10 deposit per person is required at time of booking. Full pre-payment is required 1 month prior.

Deposit payments can be made with card details over the phone, bank transfer or payment link on request. 

Please note that Hempstead House no longer accepts cash on the premises. All purchases on site must be made by card payments only.

Please note all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

 

Cancellations, either by individuals or as a group including reduced attendance, received 1 month prior to event will result in loss of deposits.

All cancellations received within 1 month of the event will unfortunately result in a full cancellation charge.

 

Guests are entitled to a full reimbursement should the hotel cancel the event unless the hotel is forced to close following government guidelines where a full credit voucher only will be issued.

 

Any cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
