"In 2005 we got married at Hempstead House and it was a beautiful day, two weeks ago I organised a surprise meal there for my Mums birthday as she was diagnosed with breast cancer in April. Yesterday I held my Mums funeral wake there after she died suddenly on the 3rd August. I just wanted to say that on every occasion happy or sad Hempstead House and their staff provided impecable service and beautiful food, particularly yesterday as they made the funeral as nice as funerals can be. What can I Say? Where Do I Start? We have just had the most fantastic and magical few days of our lives. Friday was a great day, chilling, using the pool, steam room and sauna. A lovely lunch and top class evening meal. The service was the best we have ever had. Then the big day, your main man Kevin was excellent, making sure nothing was forgotten and that people were in the right place at the right time. The food and sevice again were first class. I wanted to say what a wonderful weekend we spent at the hotel, firstly for myself and my bridesmaids on Friday 25th prior to my wedding in Faversham, then on the 26th with my husband. The hotel was chosen specifically for the luxury it offered, and the room decor. My theme colours were red and black hence my room choice. We have some magnificent photos taken in the room. We were initially made to feel very welcome and everyone went out of their way throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed with the minimum of fuss. In fact, no detail was overlooked, even down to the Manager at the Spa Bar sorting out my father’s cravat! My daughters and I spent Friday afternoon in the Spa, all of us have had treatments elsewhere but can honestly say the treatments we received were second to none and whilst the hotel is not a local as we would like, it is now first on our list for spa days! I would like to thank you and the other members of staff at Hempstead House for making our stay such a pleasant experience and for being so helpful right from the time of my initial booking enquiry. The group from Japan really enjoyed their stay at Hempstead House, and were delighted to have the chance to experience an English Country House atmosphere rather than a city-style chain hotel. Please compliment the chef and restaurant staff on the quality of the food and attentive service. My only regret is that some of the more eldery members found the portions a little large and were unable to finish everything. Everyone was excited about their experience and on the way back to London they started talking about the possibility of a future trip. I am writing to let you know that we had a lovely relaxing family lunch at Hempstead House. From our initial enquiry through to the lunch itself we had a very pleasant experience. We always felt very confident in the ability of all your staff to work as a team. No matter whom I spoke to when confirming a few matters, or requesting a particular seating arrangement, everyone was was professional, polite and friendly. They left me in no doubt that they would deal efficiently with the information thay had been given. On the day our waiter, David, was superb. We had our wedding with you on Friday 5th June 2009. We felt we wanted to write a BIG thank you to you for making the day so special. Many thanks for the stay at Hempstead House, I had a fabulous time and my wife thought everything was gorgeous. The Aquamanda Spa is great and we treated ourselves to a full body massage and then relaxed around the pool with the odd sauna and steam - sheer luxury. The staff were very attentive and once when I enquired where my Pain au Chocolat was that I had ordered I was informed it was being freshly made (can't really argue with that) - and it tasted gorgeous. We ate in the restaurant where the food was again delicious and the service very prompt. There was an excellent wine list and overall the whole restaurant experience was very enjoyable. There were a couple of functions happening whilst we were there - not sure what, but I think maybe a couple of birthdays. I didn't want to be too nosy, but everyone seemed to be having a good time. I also saw what I think was called the Heritage Suite set up for a sit down meal and it all looked pristinely laid out. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely recommend it to friends thinking of either a spa weekend or planning their wedding reception. Thanks once again. Tom Bath 23th June 2009

I know I should do a handwritten letter of thanks, but hope you will accept our words of gratitude by e-mail! Every one of our party thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience today at Hempstead House, from the first welcome into our comfortable little loungewith drinks awaiting us as arranged. Every meal was really delicious, as your kitchen staff would know by the clean plates afterwards. The meat was all tender and tasty, and the lovely variety of vegetables beautifully cooked. The desserts were absolutely delightful, a feast for the eye as well as the tongue! Please give a special thankyou to Aiden who looked after us perfectly - always there when we needed anything, and we particularly appreciated the gaps between courses so that we had room for whatever was coming next. The flowers were beautiful, and I shall enjoy them at home now; the cake also absolutely beautiful - loved the candle! And the whole room a delight to be in, from the glow of the fire, the lovely mirror and décor, and the view on to the garden and beyond. We have enjoyed several meals already in your main restaurant, but this was really special and we shall treasure some very happy memories of the service you gave us. I wanted to thank all of your staff for making Don and Margaret Codd's stay a truly memorable time. Don has said how warm and welcoming everyone was especially Paul. He was in fine spirits and said the whole experience was 'out of this world'; he had an especially comfortable nights sleep which has done him good. We held the wedding reception for of our daughter and son-in-law in The Heritage Suite and I would like to say how pleased we were with the facilities and the staff. We had several friends and relatives staying overnight in both The Heritage Suite and the main body of the hotel and we heard nothing but good comments. Whilst your facilities are high class, your staff must take the major credit as they are attentive without being overbearing, friendly and helpful and know what they are doing. Whilst it si probably unfair to single out particular staff members, we cannot overlook the part that Kevin played in making the day successful. My daughter has dealt with Kevin from the first visit to Hempstead House and it was his attitude that sold the venue to them. We subsequently met Kevin on a number of occasions and he is always cheerful and helpful whenever and we have raised a query he has always had the answer. He is a credit to your establishment. We understand that the day of the wedding was his day off but when my daughter expressed disappointment at him not being their toastmaster, he changed this without query. Lakes restaurant was set in the beautiful surroundings of Hempstead House, upon our arrival we were shown to the lounge where we ordered drinks and our evening meal, which did not disappoint - it was delicious! A varied menu using seasonal produce, the presentation of our meal was also second to none.The wine list was impressive.The staff were very attentive.We will definately be returning to Lakes in the future, highly recommended! The hotel was easy to find although you cant see hotel from road it was sign posted. We attended a wedding evening and decided to stay for the night and we both enjoyed it very much the bedroom was excellent and food at breakfast was perfect and outside the grounds were beautiful. John and I want to thank you and all the staff at Hempstead House who contributed so much to the success of our wedding. As far as we are concerned, it was a fabulous occasion and the wonderful memories we have of our special day will always be treasured. Having now nearly recovered from the night and the preceding weeks leading up to this event, I felt it would be totally inappropriate if I didnt contact you to say thank you for all your help. The guests all arrived and found their rooms, the food was fine and Kevin and his staff looked after us very well indeed and as I didnt get the chance to thank him at the end of the night, could I ask you to do so for me? As far as I am concerned I would be happy to have next year's event at Hempstead House and with your new spa facilities coming on stream, it will only get better. Now that all the excitement is over, we just wanted to write and thank you and all the staff at Hempstead House for making Emma and Adrian's wedding go so perfectly.
It has been a particular pleasure to work with you on the organisation, nothing was too much trouble, you listened to what we wanted but also made insightful recommendations based on your experience. I think the blend was very successful and gave Emma a truly magical day.
Whilst most of your work was completed before our event, the team on the ground were fantastic, particularly Kevin, Aaron, Vicky and your Scottish barman who treated our friends and relations like old friends. Whilst I mention these, the set up staff, housekeeping, the chef, kitchen staff and particularly your pastry chef who made the tart tatin dessert.
A day like this is only created through hard work and attention to detail. We are glad we upgraded some of the selections, the wines were spot on and everyone commented on them.
As parents we wanted to treat Emma to a special magical day - through your help it was unquestionably that. Our daughter was married in style and we thank you and your team for that.

Michael and I just wanted to drop a quick line to say what a fabulous day we had on Saturday, everyone commented on how fantastic Hempstead House was and how wonderfully friendly and accommodating each and every staff member was and we will definitely be arranging a few evenings out with family and friends to the hotel. Everything was done with military precision and everything we wanted was done and more thank you so much for making our day even better than we could have imagined. We have been in touch with our photographer and he has some fabulous photos and will be advertising Hempstead House on his website as the venue was so beautfiul.
